Mesmerising


To illustrate this topic I picked the mesmerising experience of watching smoke rise. Incense is a particularly good example as the sweet smell should help the mesmerising effect. I've got a blurry smoke-haze effect going on with the incense holder.
I couldn't bring myself to use the American spelling of mesmerising.

    Yes, that incense smoke is mesmerising but I've read it is unhealthy, and therefore the reason why I stopped with incense. Your drawing is wonderful. Done with pastels? Or paint?

    Yeah, I have been put off rather due to concern for my lungs. This was done a while ago. It's oil paint mainly, with some acrylic in the background. Thanks for the comments.
